Layar - Augmented Reality App Reviews

Pointed at a magazine that screamed "Scan this product using Layar App" and not a darn thing happened. Happy New Year everyone!

I have a cookbook that has the layar logo all throughout it, but the app wont pick up anything.

Super clean and easy to use. Great app for AR/ page scans. Works fast and simple UI.

Got a new magazine in the mail and it had an interact with this page using Layar so I downloaded the app. Bad ideal. I tried for three hours to get it to work, before deleting it. I wish I could give it no stars at all

Easy to use

Installed the app quick and easy. Pointed to the ad on the grocery store flyer and voila -- saw a cool video advertisement. Very nice.

On a scale if 1 to 10, this ranks as awesome, especially the Geo Layar feature. I think some of the others who dont give a high rating, dont realize or understand what this app can do.

Many geolayars are displaying content too low - as in underground . Might be an issue with elevation data.

This is THE best QR code scanner on the App Store.. And Ive tried like every one..

Not so accurate. Need improvement for the next version. However, this is one of great apps scanner.

I downloaded this App because my son is learning about Augmented Reality in school. I wanted to learn as well. Unfortunately, its crashing when you try and scan something. Very disappointing!

I just took a quiz out of a magazine page and this app is just not ready for wide scale use or promotion yet. The image kept jumping around even when I was holding the phone perfectly still, two of the four images did not have text displayed under them so you could read what was there, and when I tapped on selections, sometimes the wrong choice would highlight and it would move on to the next question. Definitely still in development and I wouldnt recommend this yet.

Bought a board game that said scan the box. I must have scanned this thing 100+ times every way I could think of. Would love to know what Im doing wrong, but Im guessing nothing. Cool idea, bad implementation...

I used this app to do a quiz on a magazine and it took forever to load and when I tried to select Start, nothing would happen! THIS APP actually made my phone uncharge like NO OTHER ever has before!! In 2 minutes it went from 20% to 3%??!!

While using this app on my phone I havent been able to get sound on the video content. I can open other apps such as music or podcasts and I get sound.

I am a techi. Love tech and use apps all the time.. This should be easy to use but is not and there is no way to trouble shoot either. Their suggested FAQ are not enough. I scanned the same thing around 20 times and could see the screen frozen and not working properly. If you have time to get frustrated and to waste, then this app is perfect for you. There is a reason it had two star rating and that was one more star than it deserves. Rethink it kids because it is rubbish.

Neat app that is a cool use of technology. Nothing difficult about it, you just scan the page that the layar icon is on and the extra content pops right up.

There are so many social media sites that do not work with layar!!!
