Layar - Augmented Reality App Reviews

Apparently Apples restrictive polices make viewing some content difficult. I tried it on a magazine cover and all I got was a this content not available on iOS version of this app? Not sure who to hate.

This app has no back button, cannot scan properly. My wife left me after I downloaded this app.

Layar is one of the best AR platforms our agency has found yet for our clients and is extremely affordable compared to other AR platforms that make you jump through so many hoops just to scan a image. (Im looking at you Aurasma)... Keep up the good work Layar!

The data set is too small, so its not very useful. It jitters a lot while orienting the device. Really seems like its a solution looking for a problem.

Works as a really good QR scanner but even more fantastic when you can scan layar! Really impressive!

Really cool technology. Never heard of it till a friend told me. Im in marketing and design and this has major potential.

I tried to use this app to view my Best Western information and it disallowed me to click any of the contented seemingly hyperlinked for easy viewing. Disappointing for the hype of it.

Truly a new app of its kind. Interesting & fun to use. I had no problem getting it to work exactly like it says its suppose to. This app is pretty impressive!!

This app is good

This isnt augmented reality, this is just a barcode that sends you to videos. Groups like Play Display are way better and making 3d worlds inside your devices and soon glasses.

First time user but kind hard to navigate. Not always able to get content. App could use upgrading.

This was assigned to my 6th grader to use for a presentation. Several things wrong here, most of which were about the teacher (didnt understand the s/w herself). But I dont see the use of this - yeah, its cool the first time out, but to have to scan a webpage and view extras on a tiny phone screen? Waste of time, IMHO.

Cannot get it to download on iPad Air

Tried scanning a page in Inc. Magazine that clearly had their layer logo on it, but kept getting "no content found for this scan".

Our new magazine, The Wrap, is equipped with the layar app. Its amazing and easy!

Not a fan. A lot of shinny sparkle for poor performance.

The app keeps saying "no layar logo". However there is one on the picture. Uninstalling immediately!!!

Uggh. Spent an hour trying to get this app to work as advertised. Cannot recommend. BUT, I do believe the potential is there. Keep trying, AR.

Its really nice when reading a magazine and can watch videos related to the reading topic

Pinterest integration doesnt work. Could become a decent app.
